How Dermoplasma is done
A specialised device is used to deliver an ionized gas (the plasma), which charges the air just above the skin. This process generates a tiny lightning bolt that creates a tiny dot that damages existing cells and cause them to contract and tighten the skin cells. There is no cuts, no blood. The excess skin is reduced and the result is comparable to lifting or wrinkle reduction
What to avoid
Clients should avoid all treatments that can be abrasive on the skin, laser treatments, strong sunlight exposure, sun tanning, BOTOX and Fillers up to 30 days before and after the procedure.
Dermoplasma after care
Aftercare will be discussed with you before and after your treatment. Printed information will also be provided by your technician who will, more than likely, follow-up with you regularly for post-treatment consultations.
The plasma treatment triggers the body's natural healing and repair systems.
- the procedure is quick and safe
- no thinning of the skin
- fast recovery (maybe swelling and redness only for few days)
- cheaper than surgical methods
- long lasting results ( depending on lifestyle and ageing process)
- the final result is comparable with the soft surgery treatment
How long does it last
The results of the Dermoplasma treatment are permanent and maybe visible for years but when we talk about mimic facial lines ( worry lines) these may recur quickly because muscles are stronger than the skin and consequently the lines recur. Also we should acknowledge that the ageing process is continuous and thus the skin ages every day and this cannot be stopped.
Does the treatment hurt
Local anaesthetic cream is applied for 30 minutes prior to treatment to minimise any discomfort and the procedure is then virtually painless.
The skin may feel hot in places and there may be a tingling or burning sensation afterwards.
We strive to be sure that our new treatment is offered only to people who will see the benefits.
The treatment is not suitable for everyone, some skin types and colours do not react as well and we will look at this on an individual basis. For example, Asian skin types tend to react a little differently and are not often suitable due to the differing pigmentation of the skin.
